BPL Sunday - Man City Vs Liverpool - Will Liverpool Close the Gap On Leader Arsenal ?

Derby vs Blackburn - Live On Football Channel 27 9.25am

Prediction : 0 - 2

Manchester City vs Liverpool - Live On Football Channel 27 11.55am

Prediction : 1 - 1

Man City And Liverpool Probable Line Up @ City Of Manchester Stadium

-------------------Joe Hart------------------------

----Corluka----Dunne----Richards----Garrido----

-------------------Hamann------------------------

--------Gelson--------Elano--------Petrov--------

-------------Vassell---------Bianchi--------------

-------------------Against------------------------

------------- Torres -----------Kuyt---------------

--------Kewell--------Benayoun--------Gerrard---

-------------------Mascherano --------------------

----Riise----Agger----Carragher----Arbeloa-------

-------------------Jose Reina----------------------

I reckon Gerrard will play on the right side to Prevent Petrov from boming in from the left as he has been the main threat for Man City this season

Sam Allardyce - Next Manager To Go ?

Drawing With Derby @ Home - A disastrous result for a team like Newcastle as Derby Lost To Every Team In BPL Away From Home Except Fulham which they draw 0 - 0 And Derby Also Defeated Newcastle 1 - 0 @ home Earlier This season.

A Defeat Against Wigan Away From Home - Other Bad Result For Newcastle as Wigan is in the Relegation Zone.

Lost To Chelsea Away From Home - It was an Inevitable result as they allow SWP to have so much space and time on the right flank as chelsea created numberous chances on the right flank.

Defeats and Draw Against Relegation Candidates are undesirable for any teams and if Newcastle Lose To Man City in The Next Game it could jolly well spell the end for Sam Allardyce.

Capello First Move - England Stars To Be Self-Discpline

England boss Fabio Capello is introducing a new policy for his pampered Three Lions stars.
The People says the way superstars like skipper John Terry, David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand behave on and off the pitch forms a key plank of the strategy co-devised by new boss Capello and Soho Square chiefs.

Senior FA figures believe player power has increased to unacceptable levels over the last five years. And they are ready to redress the balance with the help of straight-talking Capello, who has built a reputation as a tough disciplinarian.

The new code of conduct will include:
Players being RESPONSIBLE for their own passports, documentation and accreditation at tournaments;

Players CARRYING their own bags;
A CURB on the extravagant personal and group leisure facilities laid on for players at tournament hotels;

A new SOCIAL CODE which will NOT involve WAGs or children at tournaments;

A fresh look at the FINANCIAL REWARDS given to players on England duty. The moves are part of a radical shake-up of the whole Team England system, designed to restore reality and normality into a situation some believe has spiralled out of control.

Raving Keane thrown out of Reading boss Coppell's office

Sunderland boss Roy Keane was THROWN OUT of Steve Coppell's office at Reading on Saturday.

Keane let rip with an amazing rant after being invited in for a Christmas drink following Saturday's controversial 2-1 defeat at the Madejski.

A Reading player told The Sun: "It was incredible. Roy was absolutely steaming. And at the time no one had a clue why. Roy would naturally have been disappointed at the way the game ended - but that is not our fault.

"He was invited into the gaffer's office for a drink, which is the normal act of courtesy here.
"But, within 10 seconds of going in there, all hell seemed to break loose. He was fuming and really having a go at everyone in there as if it was his office at Sunderland."

Reading boss Coppell was absent but Keane stunned backroom staff with his outburst which included accusing them of 'disrespecting Sunderland'.

A club official was eventually forced to manhandle Keane out and into the players' tunnel.
Sunderland were sunk by a controversial injury-time winner which - they claim - did not cross the line and puts the club into the Premier League's bottom three going into a crucial phase of the season.

The player added: "Nobody here still quite knows what the hell went on. There was a bit of banter between the two dugouts but nothing that doesn't go on in any other match as far as I know.

"But Roy seemed really angry and it all went off. "He had to be ordered out and into the tunnel to stop the situation getting out of hand."

Man Utd boss Ferguson went "ballistic" at senior stars

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson steamed into his senior players after last week's Christmas party fiasco, it has been revealed.

Ferguson gathered senior professionals Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes and read them the riot act for their role in arranging the festive fun which spiralled out of control at the Great John Street Hotel the day after their 1-0 win at Liverpool.

The bash ended with the arrest of 19-year-old Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans, who has been bailed following an allegation of rape, which the player denies.

Although Evans was the only star arrested it's understood Ferguson has pinned the blame for the alleged lurid incidents on the experienced senior professionals in the squad.

A club insider told the People: "The manager went ballistic when he found out the extent of what had gone on. He knew the players were having a night on the town but there's a strict code of discipline laid down and he believes it was broken.

"He gave the senior pros a real hammering and has held them responsible for what happened. To say he wasn't happy is an understatement.

"You can be sure something like this won't happen again and you can bet the players party will be a low key affair next year - if he lets them have one."

Chelsea to clinch £5M Bayern Munich fullback Sagnol ahead of ManU and Milan

Chelsea are set to land Bayern Munich fullback Willy Sagnol.

The People says Chelsea will beat rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Sagnol for £5 million.

The Bayern Munich right-back has been looking for a way out of the Bundesliga with Chelsea, United and AC Milan interested.

Blues boss Avram Grant hopes French World Cup winner Sagnol, 30, can become a replacement for Portuguese international Paulo Ferreira who is believed to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge after a three-year spell.

Chelsea, Liverpool target Quaresma destined for England - agent

Porto attacker Ricardo Quaresma is set to move to England.

Italian agent Fiorangelo Calima admits: "Quaresma costs a lot and there's no way Italian clubs can afford him. For the moment, there is a direct line between Portugal and England."

Aston Villa, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with Quaresma this season.

January Transfer Window - Valencia's Silva: Liverpool move would be sensational

Liverpool are ready to bid for Valencia star David Silva.

Valencia are prepared to sell the Spain international winger, which has alerted Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.

Chelsea and Arsenal are also keen.

"Everything has changed here and the whole atmosphere within the team is different," Silva said in The Sun. "England is a sensational country for football and Liverpool is a big team."

Chelsea have Liverpool taped in video nasty

Chelsea are to use video footage of Liverpool players surrounding referee Martin Atkinson during the Carling Cup quarter-final win on Wednesday as evidence when they respond to a previous charge of failing to control their players.

Chelsea were charged by the Football Association last month after players reacted angrily to Michael Essien's sending off at Derby following a challenge on striker Kenny Miller.

Red incident: Liverpool players react to Peter Crouch's sending off at Stamford Bridge
Earlier this season Chelsea were fined £30,000 for failing to control their players during September's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester United. The charge, which Chelsea admitted, related to the conduct of several players towards referee Mike Dean following the dismissal of Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel for a foul on Patrice Evra.
Following the latest charge, Chelsea are compiling a video of incidents involving players from other clubs that have gone unpunished, and that documentary evidence will include scenes on Wednesday following the sending off of Peter Crouch for a two-footed lunge on Mikel. Chelsea claim that following the red card Atkinson was surrounded by furious Liverpool players.
Crouch did not go quietly and he has also spoken out over the incident. While accepting he deserved to be sent off, the Liverpool striker hit out at the role of Mikel in his dismissal.

FA Got 3 Options Here

1)Let Chelsea Off And All Other Clubs Caught In The Video Evidence Off

2)Fine Chelsea And All Other Clubs Caught In The Video Evidence

3)Fine Chelsea And Not Other Clubs Caught In The Video Evidence Thus An Obvious Bias Act / Action Against Chelsea Thus Conclude FA Is Trying To Kick Chelsea Out Of The Game

If FA does option number 3 I will be very shock and surprise but I Reckon FA will Choose Option Number One but give Chelsea A warning and all other clubs caught in the video evidence a warning.

And As you can see from this small picture here @ least 7 Liverpool Players are surrouding the Ref And Only 1 Chelsea Player Sheva is near to the ref not even surrounding.

Valencia need players with enthusiasm - Koeman

Ronald Koeman justified his decision to drop three of Valencia's most experienced players as necessary to change the attitude within the squad. The Dutchman has told goalkeeper Santiago Canizares, midfielder David Albelda and winger Miguel Angel Angulo that they are to be excluded from the side for the rest of the season after a run of poor results.

'I believe the team had to change, to have people with more enthusiasm and a greater hunger, and it starts with these decisions,' Koeman told sports daily Marca on Friday. 'I have seen things that I haven't liked from the start and I have changed them. No one has told me to do this. It is a sporting matter.'

The former Netherlands international replaced Quique Sanchez Flores as coach at the beginning of November and has seen the side finish bottom of their Champions League group and slip from fourth to seventh in the Primera Liga. They ended a run of six games without scoring.

I have no choice but to agree with koeman as Valencia is regarded as one of the top team in La liga and done excellent for Champions league last season but yet this year fail to live up to expecation hope things will turn around soon for Valencia as they got a bunch of good players and a good manager.

Man City job is Sven's 'until he retires' - Thaksin

Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra says Sven-Goran Eriksson could have a job for life at Eastlands.
The former England boss has enjoyed a fine return to club management since being appointed by Thaksin in the summer and his work in elevating the club to fourth in the Barclays Premier League has not gone unnoticed.
Thaksin told the Daily Star: 'I think Sven can remain our manager until he retires.
'I didn't expect the team would achieve this kind of level. But I did believe when I arrived that Manchester City could improve a lot.
'And you simply have to hand it to Sven who has done a marvellous job.'
He added: 'He is a very good football strategist and he teaches the players well. His motivational ability is another important part of his game.
'We consider him as a world-class manager. There are not many of them in football but Sven is certainly one of them.'

We Will Mark Your Words Mr Thaksin and see if this article will be used against you in the futureh

Chelsea Beat Several Big Clubs For Di Santo Signature

The Blues are believed to have agreed a deal worth $7million (£3.4million) with his club - Chilean outfit Audax Italiano, and the highly regarded striker will officially move during the January transfer window. The youngster has bagged 13 goals in 35 games over 18 months, and has also shone for Argentina's youth sidesDi Santo is free to move to England as he holds an Italian passport and it is thought that the Blues beat off competition from clubs all around Europe and in the Premier League, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United.

"Everything is nearly agreed, there are only a few details to be resolved but there will not be any problems," Audax president Valentin Cantergiani confirmed. "We only have to agree the fee that Audax will receive if Di Santo is transferred again in the future and that's all. All the rest has been arranged. "We are exchanging the last documents." "Chelsea has been more than a year following Franco and all the negotiations have been all the time very polite.

"They want to add him their squad when the transfer window opens in January. As Franco holds an Italian passport he can be at once part of their team." The player revealed his delight with the impending transfer."My agent told me not to talk about this, but the truth is I won't go on playing at Audax," he admitted. "Playing at Chelsea would be very nice. It would be fantastic."

From What I Know he is a young striker from Argentina who is being described as the new Maradona. I wonder how that makes Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, they all feel. In this case the new Maradona is a player named Franco Di Santo who possesses something that even the original Maradona did not: height.

Clearly he isn’t drawing comparisons to Diego based on appearance. It is the play of Di Santo that apparently has the hype machine operating at all cylinders. He joined the Chilean first division club Audax Italiano in 2006 and has scored 9 goals in 46 games. He has also featured six times for Argentina’s U-20 team.

Evidently that is enough to attract the attention of no less…deep breath… Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool,Ac Milan,Inter,Juventus,Barcelona,Real Madrid,Valencia. Not Enough ?

Di Santo is good in the air and possesses good on the ball skills for a big man. .

Carling Cup Action - Chelsea VS Liverpool

Michael Ballack returns to the Chelsea side for the first time since April for the Carling Cup quarter-final against Liverpool after two ankle operations. Ricardo Carvalho is also fit to play, but key duo John Terry (foot) and Didier Drogba (knee) will miss out.

Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard is out with a stomach bug, but Xabi Alonso could return after a 10-match absence because of a metatarsal injury. Steve Finnan is doubtful with a calf problem, while Daniel Agger is out.

Cole waits on FA charge decision

Ashley Cole will have to wait until Wednesday to find out whether he will be charged by the Football Association for an alleged two-finger salute.Photographs appear to show Chelsea defender Cole making a gesture during Sunday's 1-0 defeat by Arsenal.
Referee Alan Wiley did not mention it in his post-match report the FA said it will examine all available evidence.
Reports claim it was directed at Arsenal fans who had jeered the former Gunners star throughout the match.

"Nothing has been reported by the referee and none of the officials saw the incident," said an FA spokesman."If an incident is not seen by the officials it would depend on what other evidence is available, whether there's any TV footage, any photographic evidence to be considered."
Cole made an acrimonious departure from Arsenal in August last year and has since criticised his former club in his autobiography.

His move across London to rivals Chelsea made Cole an unpopular figure with Arsenal fans and Sunday's game was the first time the England defender had returned to his former club.
Cole was on the receiving end of several fierce tackles, with Cesc Fabregas booked for one challenge just before the final whistle.

It prompted an angry reaction from Cole who appeared to hit out at the Arsenal midfielder.
I tot Fabregas should have been sent off first for that very bad tackle from behind no attempt to get the ball intentionally to hurt the player leg should have been red-carded same goes for the reaction of Ashely Cole towards Cesc.I might have react in the same way or even worst way if i were Ashely Cole.

Rape probe at Manchester United party hotel

Police are investigating claims that a woman was raped at a hotel where Manchester United footballers were holding a party. The alleged assault occurred at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester in the early hours of the morning.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: 'Police are currently investigating a report of rape at a hotel in Manchester city centre. 'At about 4.15am on Tuesday December 18 2007, police were called to the hotel on Great John Street to a report that a 26-year-old woman had been raped. 'Inquiries are continuing.'

A hotel spokeswoman said: 'We did have an event on Monday night. We're helping the police with an investigation. We're currently closed but hoping to open this evening.'
The hotel is a boutique 'town house' hotel converted from a Victorian schoolhouse in the trendy Castlefield area of Manchester. The Manchester Evening News reported that the entire Manchester United first team - excluding Cristiano Ronaldo - attended their club's annual Christmas party.

The players were reportedly entertained by burlesque dancers during their meal at the Manchester 235 Casino. They were also reported to have had a drink at the Old Grapes, a pub owned by Coronation Street actress Liz Dawn.

We're even better than before - C.Ron

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned title rivals Arsenal that Manchester United are even stronger than when they won the Premier League last season. The Portuguese winger believes it is a mistake to view the title race as a two-horse contest between United and Arsenal. Wins for United and Arsenal on Sunday over Liverpool and Chelsea respectively means the top two now have a small but potentially significant gap in the league table. Ronaldo said: "Arsenal play fantastic football but I think we have a better team this season that we had last year. "We have good players, a good spirit and we have to do the same as last season. "We have a good chance, we are at the top of the league, Arsenal and ourselves, but I don't think it is just between the two teams. "Chelsea and Liverpool are still there and are strong. "I think we can challenge for the Champions League as well - we are through to the next round and I am looking forward to it."

Rafa relieved after "Positive" meeting at Anfield

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez believes he has cleared up any misunderstanding with the club's co-owners. Benitez said talks with American duo George Gillett and Tom Hicks following the 1-0 defeat by Manchester United at Anfield had been 'very positive'.
The meeting was planned some time ago to discuss the club's plans when the transfer market reopens in January - but Benitez's media rants about the late timing of the meeting caused a rift.

Benitez was hurt by suggestions that perhaps he should stick to training and coaching and leave money matters to others. He told the club's official website: 'We needed to clarify the situation and it was a very positive meeting. 'The conversation was very fluid because we were face to face, whereas it's more difficult over the phone or by email. 'My English isn't always the best but having the chance to talk to them slowly and with time allowed us to analyse small problems. Now we can move forward.'

Carling Cup interview

Meanwhile, Benitez believes Liverpool can bounce back after two successive defeats and progress to the semi-finals of the Carling Cup tomorrow. The Anfield boss is not concerned that title rivals Chelsea are all but invincible at Stamford Bridge. He claims his team have enough about them to banish the memory of losing to Manchester United and Reading, following a long unbeaten run. Benitez insists that confidence has not been damaged despite that home defeat by Sir Alex Ferguson's side at the weekend. He told the club's official website: 'If you analyse Chelsea's home form you can see they haven't lost for a long time.

'So it's normal not to get too many good results there. They are really good in front of their own fans but we will try to change the situation. 'We have played a lot of games against Chelsea over the last three or four years. We know they are a top side. 'These games are very special and we seem to have a good record against them in cup competitions especially. We know if we play well then we can beat anyone. 'We are here to win trophies and so we want to get into the semi-final. We will fight until the last minute to get there.'

Benitez could be tempted to shuffle his pack with Xabi Alonso set for a run out after a ten-week absence with a metatarsal injury. Steve Finnan remains doubtful because of a calf problem while Daniel Agger remains sidelined with a foot injury. Benitez said: 'The key is to find the balance between the squad and the big names. It is not possible for players to play every game.

'Xabi is training normally and should be available for the match at Chelsea. We are going into a busy period with lots of games so it is important to have our best players available.
'I think Chelsea will rest some players because that's normal. But it will still be a good side.'

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini To Retire at the end of the Season

AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini announced shortly after winning the FIFA Club World Cup that he will retire at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri beat Boca Juniors 4-2 today to clinch the trophy and cap off an impressive year for the Italian club.
'Today I truly feel satisfied with what I have achieved,' said Maldini, who earlier this year lifted the Champions League trophy.
'In June I will absolutely retire without any regrets.'
As far as honours go, the 39-year-old defender has had his fair share including five Champions League titles, two Intercontinental Cups, four European SuperCups and seven Serie A titles.
But the FIFA Club World Cup is the icing on the cake for the iconic Rossoneri player who made his debut in 1985.

'It's great to have won this trophy because it's difficult to be playing at 39 in a great club like AC Milan,' said the former Italian international.
'Milan has allowed me always the possibility to play for important trophies.
'I have had everything in my football career but I have pain and I struggle. I still have a lot of fun but the pain is beginning to take over.'
Maldini retired from the Italy national side shortly after the 2002 World Cup with a record number of caps.

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is set to return to the squad after a two month absence with a metatarsal injury.
Defender Steve Finnan is doubtful because of a calf problem while Javier Mascherano is OK despite taking a heavy bang on his leg against Marseille.
Sir Alex Ferguson is reporting a clean bill of health, with John O'Shea (abductor strain) the only minor doubt.
Owen Hargreaves has recovered from the calf injury he sustained in the warm-up prior to Saturday's win over Derby.

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas trained on Friday and could be in line for a return against Chelsea.
Fabregas has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since 27 November but trained along with Robin van Persie, Mathieu Flamini and Alexander Hleb.
Ricardo Carvalho (back) and Florent Malouda (knee) could be back for Chelsea if they pass fitness tests.
Didier Drogba (knee), Michael Ballack (ankle) and Michael Essien (suspended) are definitely unavailable.

I Predict A Draw 1 - 1 For Liverpool Vs Man U because of Liverpool Hot Run of Form in recent weeks. With such Excellent form i can't see them losing the derby match to Man U but history show Liverpool show string of bad results against Man U And they also draw against Arsenal And Chelsea Earlier On This Season thus a Draw is a likely result.
As For Arsenal Vs Chelsea I am going for a Narrow Chelsea 0 - 1 Away Win as Chelsea has look Stable And Organised @ The Back in the last few games and has kept several clean sheet already and with Petr Cech and Ashley Cole back in the Squad And Arsenal looking lost in attack and defence I expect Chelsea to Score An Goal and Seal the game Up With Solid Defence and clinch yet other clean sheet and important victory for the High Flying Blues.

Most Feared Champions League Team - Chelsea

Spalletti hoping to avoid Chelsea in UCL draw

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti wants to avoid Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Eternal City giants wrapped up their group campaign with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the Stadio Olimpico.
'If I could choose, I would avoid a meeting in the next round with Chelsea,' Spalletti said.
'But in any case, we will have to accept the rival that the draw will give us.
'When one arrives at this stage of the competition it's always difficult and there's always the risk that you can give a bad image. I will await with calmness the draw.'

Roma had beaten Lyon 2-0 on aggregate to reach the last eight.
Spalletti believes his team is capable of doing well again.
'Let's not forget last year we faced Olympique (Lyon),' Spalletti said.
'While there were doubts about our chances we behaved well and went through.
'I am convinced that my team will continue to hand good performances as we have done this season.'

Kaka picks up prestigious World Soccer award as Ferguson Named Manager Of The Year

Brazilian striker Kaka of AC Milan was named as World Player of the Year by the prestigious British magazine World Soccer on Thursday.
Kaka, 25, who helped AC Milan win the Champions League title in May,also won the Ballon D'Or, or European Footballer of the Year award this month organised by France Football magazine.

Kaka is also expected to be named FIFA's World Player of the Year at the annual gala staged by world soccer's governing body next week.

Alex Ferguson of Manchester United was voted Manager of the Year for a record third time after United won the Premier League title for the first time since 2003. Juande Ramos, who won five trophies in 15 months at Sevilla and is now the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, was second and Milan's Carlo Ancelotti third.

World Cup 2006 Best Young Player Set To Become A Father

Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski, voted the best young player at last year's World Cup, is set to become a father for the first time.
The 22-year-old, who has scored 24 international goals in 44 appearances for Germany, is expecting a child with long-time girlfriend Monika Puchalski, 21.

The pair met in Poland when they were 17 and Puchalski's twin brother told German on-line magazine Bunte he is looking forward to next year's birth.
"I am really looking forward to being an uncle," said Lukas Puchalski

Italy In The Spotlight as 7 Man U Fans Taken To Hospital

Italian football is under scrutiny once again after five Manchester United fans were stabbed in clashes with Roma supporters before last night's final Champions League group match between the two sides.

A total of seven people were taken to hospital, although one of those was a 16-year-old boy who needed treatment for being drunk.

None of the stab victims are understood to have serious injuries.'The injuries ranged from stab wounds to broken wrists and being worse for wear from alcohol,' said a spokeswoman for the Foreign Office.

Ugly Scences Of Football - Roma Version Of Revenge for 7 - 1 Trashing is to send exactly 7 Man U fans to hospital.Fortunately none of them have serious injuries.Hope such Ugly events won't take place anymore.

Capello gets green light to launch England revival

Fabio Capello was given a green light to begin plotting England's renaissance in international football after the Football Association (FA) agreed in principle to his appointment.
After a day of talks with the Italian's advisors, FA officials were unable to wrap up all the details of Capello's contract but a spokesman for the governing body indicated that a deal had effectively been all but done.

The spokesman, Adrian Bevington, said Capello's appointment had been approved by the FA Board, subject to the successful conclusion of the contract negotiations.
"These will continue tomorrow. I want to stress that there are no problems and that we are going through the necessary process to reach a successful conclusion," Bevington added.
The former Milan, Real Madrid, Roma and Juventus coach spent Thursday at one of his homes in Milan awaiting official confirmation of his appointment as Steve McClaren's successor.
The details still to be resolved are understood to mainly concern the make-up of the new manager's backroom staff.

Capello was believed to have agreed a contract worth in excess of four million pounds (eight million dollars) a year up to the 2010 World Cup with a two-year extension as an option, presuming that England qualify for the finals in South Africa and perform well.
The 61-year-old reportedly wants to include long-serving assistant Franco Baldini in his backroom team and there were concerns within the FA about how this would would dovetail with the role of the organisation's current director of football, Sir Trevor Brooking.
Baldini however has indicated that the question of his involvement was not a deal-breaker.

His passion for the game remains undiminished however and he had made clear his enthusiasm for the "beautiful challenge" of managing England within 24 hours of McClaren being dismissed after a defeat by Croatia at Wembley ensured his team would not be going to Euro 2008.
Managerial luminaries including Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Sven-Goran Eriksson have all endorsed Capello's credentials.

"He is a very good man and manager," Eriksson said. "His record speaks very clear. He has won titles in Italy and is one of the best managers you can find."
Marcel Desailly, the AC Milan captain for much of Capello's time in charge at the San Siro, testified to his former boss's ability to get the best out of individual players and his teams.
"He's professional and very demanding, but I think that's what the England players need," Desailly said. "He will put them under pressure to deliver, but that is a good thing."
A tough midfielder who won 32 caps for Italy as a player, Capello initially worked as a business manager in Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest empire before returning to football as successor to Arrigo Sacchi at Milan.
He led Milan to four Italian titles as well as masterminding their triumph in the 1994 Champions League -- their 4-0 demolition of Barcelona in the final is regarded as one of the greatest displays by any team.

Another five league titles followed in subsequent spells in charge of Real Madrid, Roma and Juventus, although Juventus were stripped of two of those as a result of the corruption scandal that rocked Italian football last year.
Capello's first matches in charge will be two friendlies: against Switzerland at Wembley on February 6 and against France in Paris on March 26.
He will not have a competitive match until September 2008, when England begin their bid to qualify for South Africa 2010 from a group that once again includes Croatia, as well as Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Andorra.

The Main Question Now Is No Longer will Fabio Capello Lead England To Success as there is No doubt he have the ability to do so.The Main Questions Now Is

a)Will John Terry Stay As England Captain ? - There Is reports that some of the FA committee members are not in favour of John Terry staying as England Captain and There are also rumours that Capello is no great fan of the current England captain.

b)Will Frank Lampard Finally Be Drop ? - Beckham and Ronaldo at Real Madrid, Alessandro del Piero at Juventus, Edgar Davids at Milan and Francesco Totti at AS Roma: you could put together a formidable team of players that have found themselves sitting on the bench after lighting Capello's notoriously short fuse. All of the 61-year-old's club teams have been constructed around a midfield player deployed essentially as a shield for the back four.

c)Will David Beckham get his 100th Cap ? - The Italian has earned a reputation for displaying steel-plated stubborness when it comes to putting the needs of his team ahead of superstar egos.So it will remain a huge doubt whether David Beckham could finally earn his 100th cap for England.

Outspoken France coach Raymond Domenech on Thursday hit out at the decision to approve Italian Fabio Capello as the new England manager.
Domenech, 55, told French broadcaster RTL: "It's serious and a real shame for all the English managers.
"It's a shame to go looking for a Swede or an Italian. It is as if you are saying to the English coaches: 'You are in England, you are all rubbish and we are going to look elsewhere'."
The FA board on Thursday agreed that Capello should be named as the successor to Steve McClaren subject to the successful conclusion of contract negotiations, which will continue on Friday.

Post Match Analysis - Boro 2 - 1 Arsenal - Why Arsenal Lost ?

Okay the reasons that Arsenal Lost is very simple

1. They were playing long balls towards Adebayor most of the time(and he couldn't get the ball as the long balls are not even accurate) and not their usual short passing football thus their possession during the game is a mere 46% while they usually get a high possession percentage of 60%

2.Boro Unlike Most Weaker EPL side Instead of Sitting back and let Arsenal play their style of football, they push the defensive line up and press Arsenal defence and midfield area and force them to make silly errors which Newcastle did earlier in the week against Arsenal.

3.Arsenal Reject Striker Jeremie Aliadiere had a point to Prove To Arsenal And Wenger that he is good enough to play for Arsenal And it is a big mistake that Arsenal and Wenger Sold him to Boro and That Tuncay Sanli is an extremely hardworking striker and the combination of the 2 strikers work great as they press the Arsenal Defence and make them do silly errors

4.No Chemistry / Link-up Play between Eduardo and Adebayor they make silly passes upfront and lose the ball just outside the penalty area due to their lack of teamwork and communication

The Best Player For Arsenal during the Match would be Sagna he look the most comfortable on the ball and make the least errors among all Arsenal Players.

Barclays Premier League Sunday Preview

Tottenham full-backs Pascal Chimbonda and Young-Pyo Lee face late fitness tests after picking up knocks during the UEFA Cup clash against Anderlecht.
Striker Robbie Keane starts his three-match ban for his red card against Birmingham on 2 December.
Manchester City midfielder Elano is a doubt with a hamstring injury.
But midfielder Michael Johnson is back after abdominal surgery and striker Darius Vassell has been declared fit after a hamstring problem.

Tottenham (from): Robinson, Cerny, Chimbonda, Lee, Stalteri, Dawson, Kaboul, Zokora, Jenas, Huddlestone, Malbranque, Lennon, Bent, Berbatov, Defoe, Tainio, Boateng, Taarabt.

Man City (from): Isaksson, Hart, Corluka, Sun, Dunne, Richards, Garrido, Ball, Ireland, Johnson, Geovanni, Fernandes, Elano, Petrov, Mpenza, Bianchi, Vassell, Samaras.

Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson on dropping out of the top four:"I don't accept that we are now playing for fifth place, why should I do that?
"It is a big challenge to dislodge one of the favourites by the end of the season but I am not thinking about that just this Sunday's game at Tottenham.
"All we can do is take one game at a time and see what happens."

Man City Away form has been poor but Tottenham defence and away record has been one of the worst in the premier league and they have conceded 15 goals in 7 home games that is conceding averaging 2 goals per match. My Prediction for this match will be Man City to nick it 0 - 1 as they have scored only 6 goals in 7 away games they played this season and Iceman Sven-Goran Eriksson is determined to imporve the team away form and challange for the illusive top 4 spot

English Premier League Week 16 Preview

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba (knee) is a major doubt and keeper Petr Cech (calf) will not play.
Florent Malouda (knee) is a doubt, while Michael Essien is suspended with Paulo Ferreira, Ricardo Carvalho and Michael Ballack still sidelined.

Sunderland winger Carlos Edwards is out after suffering a broken leg in his side's win over Derby last week.
Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring), Kieran Richardson (back) and Russell Anderson (ankle) remain on the sidelines.

Chelsea (from): Cudicini, Hilario, Belletti, Terry, Alex, Ben-Haim, Lampard, A Cole, Bridge, J Cole, Obi, Sidwell, Kalou, Shevchenko, Pizarro, Wright-Phillips, Makelele, Drogba.

Sunderland (from): Gordon, Ward, McShane, Halford, Harte, Higginbotham, Collins, Yorke, Etuhu, Miller, Leadbitter, Wallace, Whitehead, Kavanagh, O'Donovan, Jones, Chopra, Connolly, Murphy, Stokes, Cole.

Sunderland boss Roy Keane:"We will be going out and people will be thinking how much are we going to lose by. "But if I was some of our lads I would be rubbing my hands. We are going to be tested by top players."The bottom line is you can only play 11 against 11 and all you can ask as a manager is 100% from your players."

Chelsea will win a solid 2 - 0 and keep yet other clean sheet.Sunderland has been very poor while Chelsea is the opposite as The Blues are the best form team in EPL currently based on results of last 6 games.I won't be surprise if Chelsea were to win by a bigger margin than predicted.

Reading will be without John Oster as the winger requires ankle surgery.
Defender Michael Duberry (cracked ribs) has resumed training but will not be considered for a comeback and Glen Little (Achilles) remains sidelined.
Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is a booking away from a ban and, with the game against Manchester United next weekend, he may not be risked.
Carragher has overcome a rib injury but may be replaced by Daniel Agger - if he is fit - or youngster Jack Hobbs.

Reading (from): Hahnemann, Federici, Murty, de la Cruz, Ingimarsson, Sonko, Bikey, Cisse, Shorey, Rosenior, Gunnarsson, Harper, Fae, Hunt, Convey, Doyle, Kitson, Long, Lita.
Liverpool (from): Reina, Arbeloa, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Hobbs, Riise, Benayoun, Gerrard, Mascherano, Lucas, Sissoko, Kewell, Babel, Kuyt, Voronin, Crouch, Torres, Itandje.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez:"I think it will be difficult for all our players as Reading are physical and they are strong. It is especially difficult for the strikers. "But Torres is strong enough and he also has ability and good movement, so if the team is playing well he can manage with the physical game. "Torres can produce good movement and it will be difficult to control him."
Liverpool sudden run of form is due to Torres return and he could jolly well spark into life in this match and earn a 2 - 1 Victory for Liverpool.

5 Main Reasons Why Arsenal Draw Newcastle ?

1. Adebayor Selfishness - he could have easily slip the a through ball to his strike partner Eduardo and he will be through on goal 1 on 1 with the keeper and kill the game 2 - 0 in early first half around 18 minutes.

2.Eduardo Poor Defending ability - He Pass the ball to the oppoenent instead of clearing the ball out for a throw in.

3.Rosicky Mix Up With Adebayor - Personally i felt that Adebayor is right he was not offside even if Rosicky pass the ball to him. What Rosicky did he stop and waited for Adebayor to be onside when he could have pass the ball straight to Adebayor or even rush towards goal himself.

4.Gilberto Lack Of Match Practise - he is total nonsense that day he keep losing the ball and reluctant to pass the ball early has make himself look like an amatuer footballer.

5.Newcastle Domination In Midfield In the 2nd half - Newcastle keep pressing the midfield area and often left 3 players @ the back and that pay off as Arsenal could not punish them with the golden opportunity created.

Newcastle Vs Arsenal - Preview

Newcastle will be without defenders Abdoulaye Faye (calf) and Stephen Carr (hamstring) for the game against Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Centre-back Steven Taylor (back) could return, but defender Claudio Cacapa and striker Michael Owen are both out

Flamini set to miss out Newcastle game
Premier League leaders Arsenal have seen midfielder Mathieu Flamini added to their absentee list with a reoccurrence of his thigh problem ahead of Wednesday night's game at Newcastle

Winger Alexander Hleb (Achilles), Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) and Abou Diaby (back) are also out, so Brazilians Gilberto and Denilson are set to come into contention.
Striker Robin van Persie continues to work on his match fitness following a knee problem

Newcastle (from): Given, Harper, Beye, Enrique, Rozehnal, Taylor, Edgar, Butt, Milner, Geremi, Emre, N'Zogbia, Barton, Smith, Viduka, Martins, Ameobi.

Arsenal (from): Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Eboue, Diarra, Gilberto, Rosicky, Walcott, Adebayor, Lehmann, Senderos, Bendtner, Denilson, Hoyte, Eduardo, Song.
Sam Allardyce could soon be on his way out if he lose today match against Arsenal as they lost 4 matches and draw once in their last 5 game.
Even though Newcastle keepers Shay Given and Steve Harper have released a statement refuting claims that senior players have voiced their concerns to under-fire boss Sam Allardyce. But this show further signs that Sam Allardyce will be sack soon if he don't turn things around.
Fortunately For Big Sam that the upcoming 4 matches after Arsenal Match is against Birmingham(Home), Fulham(Away), Derby(Home), Wigan(Away).
Thus I reckson Big Sam won't get the sack And I reckon Arsenal will win this match and bag vital 3 points despite the growing injury list.
Prediction : 1 - 2 Arsenal Away Win

Joe Cole Back To His Best ?

Anyone Notice that Joe Cole Is running faster and getting back to his best form ?

I notice it during the recent UCL game against Rosenberg that he had become faster (back to his best) and his movement off the ball is excellent.

and the following match in EPL against West ham he scored so it is not an surprise to me that he scored and won Chelsea 3 points.

Diver Ronaldo And Refs Clear Biasness Towards Man U

Just Saw the highlight of the Man U Vs Fulham even though he score 2 good goals he was booked for diving ! well spotted by the ref but the ref did not book him for Sarcastic clap should have send him off by giving him an 2nd yellow

he was also booked earlier this season against Everton for diving

Stop Cheating And Diving like A Sissy Already

Cristiano Ronaldo On Fire This Season

Cristiano Ronaldo even though i don't like his diving cheating antics but he has become a better player this season. His heading ability has improved and his willingness to pass the ball more and doing less meaningless tricks has help him score more goals this season.

With 9 Apperances 8 goals in the Premier League And 5 Appearances 5 goals and 1 Assist In The Champions League that total up to 15 Appearances 13 Goals and 1 Assist.

He has been tremendous this season and has not won any penalties by diving yet

but i hate his goal celebration when he scored the free kick against sporting lisbon(his former club) recently the arrogant (no big deal) celebration.Ibrahimovic did a similar one in UCL but not against his former club.
